Nikela works because ordinary people volunteer their time and expertise to write, illustrate, tweet, do web stuff and more.
Volunteers are Nikela’s life blood!
We are ever grateful to those who contribute. You make a difference, as we together help those who save wildlife.
Today we spotlight more than a volunteer… [you’ll understand later]
Meet Sandra Robbins
“You know Mom is always right… especially when she tells you to love and protect all of God’s creations.”
That is how Sandra Robbins grew up, taking care of all animals; just like the ant lions in her front yard. Her mom has been the passionate foundation for her willingness to help, to stand up for those who cannot do it for themselves.
Her Mom told her about Nikela and Sandra was hooked on the organization goals. She actually has been involved with Nikela from the beginning (April 2010) and enjoys helping out when she can as she loves people like Margrit who works tirelessly for Africa and its wildlife; and Peter, a man who fights daily for the safety of rhinos. Sandra felt inspire, being able to leave a legacy where future generations can admire beautiful and living creatures; fight a battle that seemed hopeless by just writing!!
At the moment she is helping Peter, compiling narratives of his works, all the way from the USA; while Peter is on the front lines, literally. She has also done videos for Nikela, like a Dr. Seuss tale like, a story about “Frank and Rhino Horn“
If you would like to help but need to be near home, virtual opportunities are available, just contact us….
Sandra’s favorite animal is the Cheetah; her support will be able to make a difference and bring the world’s attention to Africa. And what is your favorite animal in Africa, maybe you can help them too.
Sandra is currently working on the sequel to her first novel “Return and Live” available on Amazon.
Story written by Ana C. Garcia.
Thanks Ana for writing about Sandra. One thing most don’t know is that Sandra is also Margrit’s daughter. Margrit relies a great deal on Sandra’s insights (younger generation) as well as her creativity and writing expertise.
