What is Wildlife Conservation? – When we are asked this question we often give the simple and short answer: It is people acting to protect endangered plants, animals and their diminishing habitats. It is the goal of every Wildlife Conservationist to ensure the future of these natural treasures.
We here at Nikela.org realize that Wildlife Conservation is so much more than thinking big thoughts, it takes work, and lots of it. Some conservationists use science (like biology and chemistry) to measure and track the growth, decline and behaviors of plants and animals. This information can be used to predict and protect the endangered species in their own environment.
Does that mean you can only be a conservationist if you love science? NO WAY! Some conservationists use film (Like our own Ryan Davy) some others use photography (like our friend Frank van Egmond) and even some use their fame to promote wildlife conservation (Like this guy)
