Every day the needs get greater during this COVID pandemic. However, seldom can so little do so much good, like save an entire wildlife center.
The “new normal” we all face is full of challenges. However, for many of us it provides super outlets to do some good during these tough COVID times. By sponsoring one rescued monkey we can save an entire Wildlife center!
What’s at risk here?
I love wildlife. But, I never really cared for monkeys much. Probably because where I was raised they are perceived as pests, even vermin. Then about ten years ago Silke changed that. Silke is a premier wildlife rehabber, especially when it comes to the vervet monkey.
Over 700 monkeys are now living back in the wild because of Silke and her team. An average of about 30 tiny pink faced orphans, whose mothers have been killed, arrive at Silke’s wildlife rehab center every summer. Along with that confiscated and surrendered monkeys, raised as pets, find a chance for freedom with Silke.
239 monkeys need our help now
The COVID pandemic froze travel to South Africa. With that tourism and European paying volunteers stopped. Silke’s main revenue stream to do her rehab work and care for the monkeys dried up. Silke being ever the innovative survivor, like her monkeys, devised a plan.
Sponsor One Rescued Monkey and Save the entire Wildlife Center
There are 356 monkeys on the road to freedom at Silke’s Wildlife Rescue Center.
117 have a Sponsor (or Guardian Angel as Silke likes to call them.)
That means 239 need a Guardian Angel.
That’s all? Yup, all it takes to save an entire Wildlife Center is 239 of us sponsoring a rescued monkey!
The monthly sponsorship covers food, shelter and possible transportation and medical costs.
Doing some good during these tough COVID times is now super easy… sponsor a rescued monkey.
All it takes is $15 a month!
Now that’s as simple as grabbing one take-out less a month!
No big deal right?
So, can the monkeys count on you?
Can Silke and her entire wildlife center count on you?
