We take you out and about with premier primate rehabber Silke at Bambelela. A brief history Since 2010, Nikela has followed the incredible Silke von Eynern and her teams’ care of animals in need. Silke resides in Limpopo, South Africa, a province filled with majestic mountains and indigenous forests, rich in beauty and wildlife but sadly inhabited by many animals in need. In 2003, driven by a fervent desire to help wild animals, ‘Bambelela’ was established, a center to rehabilate and release animals back into the wild. Today we begin our eight month journey. We fly from Dallas Texas in the USA to Doha Qatar in the Middle East on to Johannesburg, South Africa. The entire journey will take about 30 hours.
