Saving lions is good.
Saving their habitat even better.
Like humans lions need a home.
Their home consists of large wild spaces with food, water and shelter.
Unfortunately people keep gobbling up their wild spaces.
More and more lions are being left homeless.
When this happens they prey on farmers' cattle and goats.
Farmers don’t like this and kill the lions.
60 years ago there were
450,000 lions in Africa...
Today less than 20,000!
To save them we must save their homes... their wild spaces.
Entire ecosystems are needed for all wildlife's survival.
Some large organizations are working hard at this.
However, in a remote corner of Namibia there is a remarkable man.
A man with a passion for lions, understanding of lions and what’s needed to save their wild spaces.
Marnus has 4 big challenges...
Support of government Wildlife Authorities
Buy in of Conservancy leaders
Cooperation of village members
One and Two are done.
Three: Marnus is travelling 1,000s of kilometers to secure.
This section of Namibia is vast, hot, with crazy roads and huge distances between the villages.
Four: You get to jump in.
Your donation helps keep this second phase rolling as Marnus talks to villagers to get their cooperation and ideas to save the habitat, to save the lions and restore the ecosystem.
