“I have another call…!” This is a familiar message from Moses the man who rescues highly endangered pangolin from poachers in Uganda. Nikela sponsors these rescue missions. Getting funds to Moses quickly is of the essence. Moses relies on support for transportation, reward monies, and pangolin rescue supplies.
Care to help save pangolin?
This time it’s another successful rescue. One of Moses’ informants had spotted the pangolin in the farm fields close by a neighboring village about 30 kilometers away. The unwary pangolin was of course at high risk for being caught. Two things happen when a pangolin is caught; it is either sold for bush meat or to a wildlife smuggler. Either way spells pain and death for the little critter.
Pangolin are harmless creatures who live on a diet of ants. Because their scales are of high value for numerous concoctions in Asia they have become the most endangered mammal on the planet! Currently, due to the Coronavirus shutting down jobs, most everything that moves is fair game for the pot.
Moses has been about rescuing the highly endangered pangolin for quite some time now. Some missions end badly, where the pangolin is already sold or is too injured and dies. However, he has about a 90% success rate. To date he has rescued 34 pangolin. The rescued pangolin, once declared fit, are released by the Ugandan Wildlife Authority. They are released in protected areas.

Care to sponsor a pangolin rescue mission?
On average a rescue mission which includes transportation and fuel costs, reward monies for the informants and the pangolin rescue kit. The kit includes carrying box, disposable gloves, measuring tape, scale, disposable bag for weighing the pangolin, and when needed the attendance of a local wildlife vet. This adds up to $100. Just $10, from 10 people like you, keeps Moses Mission ready!
If you can, feel free to sponsor an entire rescue mission. If not that $10 a month helps a great deal to keep Moses mission ready. After all, he never knows when he is going to get a call and speed is of the essence to save this highly endangered species.
