I love the idea of giving back to the environment and the animals who cannot speak up for themselves… Nikela helps me focus on things that are important to me personally.
Mikaela R. (volunteer – USA)
I am grateful to assist in promoting the protection of wildlife in anyway and am honored to partake in such an important and humbling mission.
Cassie Sonne (volunteer – USA)
I’m a college student on a budget, so I can’t donate much money. Instead… I ended up volunteering with Nikela.
Colleen G. (volunteer – Switzerland)
…what better way to be involved with helping the planet than by actually making some changes?
Khristinna S. (volunteer – USA)
Working closely with the Nikela team and knowing you are contributing to a great cause inspires you every day…
Kalli D. (volunteer – USA)
…to stay connected to the ongoing fight and reality of the wildlife trade I wanted to volunteer with Nikela.
Joyce Chen (volunteer – USA)
I got my current part time job because my employer saw the giraffe infographic I created.
Frank v. E. (volunteer – Netherlands)
Small charity organizations can accomplish very direct results. Margrit and Russ were at the beginning of their journey in building up Nikela and it was a good opportunity to make a contribution.
Shawn B. (volunteer – USA)
I became involved with Nikela through the YouTube Good Work Project in association with Cannes. As a class assignment, my team and I were tasked to create a fresh video to promote a participating nonprofit. After sorting through all of the contenders, we decided on Nikela, because we found the brief fascinating and because we looked forward to benefiting an organization close to home.
Mike S. (monthly donor and volunteer)
I just like to help!
Sandra R. (donor and volunteer – USA)
I loved the idea of working with people who are fighting such a noble cause (like Nikela.) I love working with Margrit and when she introduced me to Peter, I was hooked. They are both so passionate about their work, Margrit keeping us all together and motivated and Peter on the front lines, literally.
Megaen Kelly (volunteer – USA)
Found Nikela online through another website. I believe in the work that they do, and want to support the dedicated people in South Africa who are working to help animals. They are heroes.
Brandi W. (volunteer – USA)
I randomly ran across Nikela’s website one day and thought that maybe I could help…I couldn’t stand by and do nothing. Complacency isn’t in my vocabulary. The Earth is losing species faster than ever before! And is happening on our watch….UNACCEPTABLE! It is important to me to be able to communicate with like minded people that care and want to make a difference in their lifetime.
Jessica I. (volunteer – USA)
My ultimate goal is to one day work in public relations for the conservation organizations. I believe that actions speak louder that words and I cannot wait to start making a difference. I feel Nikela does just that. The internet and social networks have revolutionized world communications, and thus allowed for a global recognition of issues such as this. Nikela’s variety of projects and involvement in telling the right stories, by educated people lays the foundation for change. I really enjoy contributing to that.
Neville B. (monthly donor – New Zealand)
Thank you for all that you are doing to protect wildlife. It is people like you that enable others like myself to find a home for our modest contributions. I can’t read a story like POACHED! and do nothing. That story bought tears to my eyes. There is so much human cruelty to animals, people that care need to do something.
Jess (donor – UK)
It’s brilliant that there are people like you doing the work you do.
Heather S. (volunteer – USA)
It is fun to be included in a great project. Since I am a wildlife artist, and writer, I felt I could help them spread the word through stories and powerful images. We are all in this together and as a group, it can be done!
Kubilay (monthly donor – India)
I deliberately made two transactions. First I saw Baye and then Peter and I wanted to give them both a hand.
Golda Velez (donor)
I donated because I want to help people who are working hard to and directly to save African wildlife, and it sounds like Peter and his group are being really effective.
Wendy S. (long standing volunteer)
I love being a part of this organization… I wanted to make a difference. Whenever I read/heard about the plight of the rhinos I always got sad and had always wished I could find a way to save them (which isn’t very easy when you live in Ohio.) I wanted to be a “voice” for the rhinos.
Margie (monthly donor – USA)
I’m so amazed at you and Russ. Love your blogs and emails!
Pawan (longest standing monthly donor of six consecutive years – India)
Hats off to you and Sir who still in this age are doing fantastic job to protect wild life, such an inspiration for all.
Liz (monthly donor – USA)
I remember hearing that recurring donations help immensely so I’ve scheduled monthly donations for 2017. Thanks again for all you do and best of luck this year! Glad to be a part of your work.
