Giving money, though important, is only one of many things that's needed to help protect wildlife. Becoming aware of what to buy and what not to buy, when and where to speak out, what to teach our children. My four year old grandson loves watching dump trucks, graders, loaders and escavators at work. Recently my daughter pointed out to him how the trees had all been removed near their friends home. He was excited to watch the construction vehicles until she told him that the deer and birds they used to see there were now all gone. He stopped to think then asked his mom, "Are mighty machines bad?" This triggered a very important discussion around the ongoing human-wildlife conflict. Right on Billy!
