Nikela Projected 2014
Our goal is to have 10,000 small monthly donors by 2014. With some additional help from a few large grants and foundations (about 15% to cover our costs) over $2,200,000 will be raised and the following can be accomplished:
- Donor Advocates – 10,000 people around the world donate extra income to extend the reach of Wildlife conservationists and advocates in South Africa from the school room to the President’s office influencing decisions that protect South Africa’s national treasure
- Existing Professional Advocates – 25 direct conservation projects at an average of $20,000 each to extend their organizations Wildlife advocacy and conservation efforts
- Regional Advocates – 10 presentation teams will present to 10,000 students/week as well as work together and in special sessions with local officials and teachers
- Personal Advocates – 300,000 to 400,000 students per year follow a Wildlife curriculum during the weeks prior to and after a major Wildlife presentation; learning how to and commit to protect Wildlife as opportunities arise
- Local Wildlife Advocates – 2000 children chosen from the 400,000 will spend a week at a conservation camp interacting with and learning sensitivity to their national treasure and given resources to reach at least 20,000 new people when they return home as well as reinforce the experience of the 400,000 over time
Projections anticipate:
- 2011 is projected to show major growth toward meeting our objectives with around 2000 online donors.
- By 2014 we hope to have the 10,000 donors in place and meeting the objectives as outlined above.
